Our terms, in two lists

What holds on our side of every roofing job, and what we need from yours.

Locally run out of New Braunfels, Texas, New Braunfels Roofing Co. puts insured crews on your roof: each carries workers' compensation and general liability insurance. Texas has no state license for roofers, so for permitted jobs we hold a registration at the City of New Braunfels.

What you can count on

  • Proof of insurance. Ask, and the certificate of insurance arrives before the first shingle comes off.
  • Free inspections, with limits. When a named storm has passed through, or when the inspection comes with a repair, it's free. A stand-alone inspection report costs the listed price.
  • Itemized estimates that hold for 30 days. Ranges on this website are planning figures only. The written estimate governs.
  • Claims handled your way. You file the claim and stay the policyholder. We photograph the damage, meet the adjuster if you want us there, and square up the scope. We never take an assignment of a claim.
  • Permits in our name. If the job needs a permit, whether from Comal County or from the City of New Braunfels, we pull it under our own name, show it on the estimate, and book the work once it's approved.
  • A sealed roof every night. Rain, lightning or strong wind can push a date; roofing follows the weather. But once the old roof comes off, the deck is dried in and sealed before anyone packs up.
  • Warranties you can read. Manufacturer warranties go in your name. The workmanship warranty is printed on the estimate; for the period it states, it covers leaks that trace back to the installation. It does not cover storm damage, dropped limbs, other people walking on the roof, or another trade's work.
  • Priced change orders. Extra work, such as decking past the allowance, goes at the estimate's printed unit rates, and you sign off before it happens.
  • A nail sweep. Magnets pick up the nails each day, but one fastener can still hide in a flower bed.

What we ask of you

  • A signature before a start date. No work begins until you've signed a written estimate.
  • A deposit where it applies. Replacements and metal roofs may need a materials deposit. The rest is due when the job is finished unless your estimate sets other terms.
  • The full deductible. Chapter 707 of the Texas Insurance Code requires you to pay it in full. We don't waive, absorb or rebate any part of it.
  • HOA sign-off. Approval from your homeowners' association is your job. We supply whatever samples and specs the committee wants.
  • A clear driveway and a quiet house. Get cars off the driveway, keep kids and pets indoors while the crew is up there, and take fragile things down off the walls. Tear-off shakes the house a bit; that's normal.
