Why does 78132 get hit so often?
Geography — the storms that build over the Hill Country come off the escarpment and mature right over the west side, and the new subdivisions sit on open hills with nothing to break the wind. It's the most-hit ZIP in Comal County by a wide margin.
Is Class 4 worth it here?
On the west side, more than anywhere else. Most Texas carriers give a premium discount for Class 4 shingles, and a roof that takes ping-pong-ball hail without bruising keeps you out of the claim cycle.
My HOA is strict about color — what do you need?
