The State of Texas issues no roofing license, so a homeowner has to look elsewhere for protection. Look at the insurance a company carries and at the permits it has filed. Ask for a certificate that shows general liability coverage and workers' compensation. Without that second policy, a worker who gets hurt at your house can turn into your expense. Then ask who will hold the City of New Braunfels permit, and expect the answer to be the roofing company itself.
