Most New Braunfels roof leaks aren't the roof. They're the things that go through it: a pipe boot whose rubber has split after eight Texas summers, the flashing where a stucco wall meets a lower roof, a chimney cricket that was never installed, a satellite mount somebody lag-bolted through the shingles. The second most common cause is wind — the spring fronts that come through ahead of the hail lift tabs on the windward slope and crease them, and they leak the next time it rains sideways.
So we start with a real diagnosis, not a guess from the driveway. We get in the attic if there is one, trace the stain to the entry point, get on the roof and find it, and photograph it for you. Then we fix it properly — new boots, step and counter-flashing cut into the mortar joint, ice-and-water under the valley, shingles replaced with matching ones — instead of smearing roof cement on it. If the roof is at the end of its life and a repair is throwing money at it, we'll say so and quote the replacement too.

Questions we get about roof repair & leaks
How much does a roof repair cost in New Braunfels?
Most repairs land between $350 and $1,800: a couple of boots or a handful of wind-lifted shingles at the low end, a chimney flashing rebuild or a valley at the high end. Emergency tarps are $250 to $600 and credited back toward the repair. You get the number in writing before we start.
My ceiling is stained but it hasn't rained in weeks. Is it the roof?
Often not. In summer it's usually the AC — a clogged condensate line or a sweating duct in the attic. We check that first, because it's a $150 fix and not a roof repair. If it is the roof, the stain is rarely under the leak; water travels down the rafters before it drops.
Can you match my shingles?
Usually. Most New Braunfels roofs from the last 20 years are one of a handful of architectural lines and colors, and we stock the common ones. On a discontinued color we'll show you the closest match before we install it. Sun-faded roofs will always show a repair for a season.
Should I file a claim for a small repair?
Almost never. A $600 repair on a policy with a 1- or 2-percent deductible costs you nothing from the insurer and can count against you at renewal. We'll tell you when the damage is big enough to be worth a claim — and when it isn't.
Do you repair tile and metal roofs?
Yes — cracked clay and concrete tiles, slipped tiles and underlayment on tile roofs; fastener replacement, panel repair and sealant on screw-down metal; clip and seam repairs on standing seam.
